Live In Peace Massage is solely owned by Licensed Massage Therapist, Lexi Palmer. Lexi started her massage therapy career after finishing school in 2019, at Truckee Meadows Community College, graduating with an Associates in Entrepreneurship and Massage Therapy. Since then, Lexi has furthered her education in Deep Tissue Massage, Ashiatsu Massage, Cupping Therapy, Reiki Energy Work, Aromatherapy, CBD, Yin Yoga and her newest additions, YoMassage (a yoga class with massage in every posture) and Sound Healing. If you are in the Reno area and looking for any of these services, you have finally found the right massage therapist! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?
Come in hydrated, showered, comfy and ready to relax. If you have problem areas to address, please do that during the intake process. If comfortable, you will undress to your comfort level and lie under blankets on our high quality, heated massage table. I, licensed massage therapist, will use techniques and tools to work on each muscle at your desired pressure. Bringing tension release, pain relief, relaxation, and more.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY FIRST SESSION?
Expect to hopeful feel relief in the muscles and mind! Be prepared to take it easy, hydrating often and eating light, nourishing meals. I always recommend taking it slow for about 24 hours before and after your massage. Try to incorporate self care into your post massage routine, doing whatever makes you feel most calm and relaxed.
WHAT TYPE OF MASSAGE SHOULD IÂ GET?
The answer is completely up to you, depending on what type of work your body prefers. If you are wanting a shorter session, I recommend starting with a 30 minute or 50 minute session. If that doesn't sound like quite enough time, try the 80 minute or 2 hour. Then think about what type of pressure you want. Do you prefer a more gentle touch? That would be Swedish Massage. Do you prefer deeper/firmer pressure? That would be a great use for Deep Tissue Massage.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD IÂ COME IN FOR A MASSAGE?
That is dependent on what you feel will be best for your body. I have clients on all different types of schedules/no schedule at all! Some people prefer every 2 weeks, most of my clients prefer every 4-6 weeks, a lot of people can get away with one massage every few months or one a year. This decision is completely based around what brings you relief, as consistently as you would like.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Live In Peace Massage is located 22 Hillcrest Drive. Upon your first appointment, Lexi will direct you to her private suite inside of a 100% bodywork and wellness based building in Midtown Reno. A large parking lot is provided for all customers.
WHAT DO YOU PROVIDE IN ADDITION TO MASSAGE?
IÂ also provide sound healing and yoga with massage. IÂ do multiple classes a month at a range of locations including The Sanctuary in North Lake Tahoe, The Studio in Midtown Reno and Elysium Wellness Club in Downtown Reno. IÂ am also available for private events (massage, yoga, sound bath) and will travel for groups.
Cancellation Policy
Each appointment is required to follow our cancellation policy. Canceling within 48 hours will result in paying 50 percent of the service price. Canceling within 24 hours will result in paying 100% percent of the service price. If not paid, you will not be allowed to return. All new clients will be required to pay a deposit prior to booking which will go towards the price of your service. For any further questions please contact Lexi directly.
